One day in 1989 my husband came home from work and said to me, Willie wants you to run for Justice of the Peace, he thinks you will make a good one. I said, what does a justice of the Peace do? He said, I don't know but you are going to run. I went to a Justice of the Peace and Constables Training Conference with him that year. I ran for office in November 1989 and was elected by the People in Ward 6, Caddo Parish, Shreveport, Louisiana and took office in January 1990 and 32 years later I am still a Justice of the Peace (6 terms), in Ward 6, Caddo Parish, Shreveport, Louisiana.

SERVICES
Services I provide as a Justice of the Peace:
- Small Claims Court up to $5,000.
- Marriages. I charge $100.00 if you come to me, if I travel to you I charge $140.00
- Car titles, Trailer titles and Boat titles that don't have a title and need a Justice of the peace Judgement.
Justice of the Peace and Constables are required to attend a training conference every year provided by the Louisiana State Attorney General's Office.
